Painting of the Pumpkins

Well, it has been a while but I am now getting this Blog updated again. This was October 21st, we went to a make shift pumkin patch (a bit different from the great BIG Pumpkin Patches at home). The kids liked it though. When we got back home they were very excited to paint them and put them on display for all to see. We still paint ours because it is more fun for the girls, since they can't use a cutter or knives just yet. As you can see fron the pictures that Emmah was topless and enjoying her painting. Tim and I laughed a lot when they were doing this because Emmmah was so serious as she painted away. Fun....Fun....Fun....

Busch Gardens Fun.. Fun.. Fun..

Well, this was two weeks ago now but I am now getting this posted. We went to Busch Gardens two Saturdays ago and had a great time with the girls. We got up that morning and decided lets just go. Tim and I have been working a lot and wanted a long family day together, so off we went. The girls had a blast. They were so excited when we arrived. We didn't tell them where we were going. Paiyton is now tall enough for some of the BIG rides, she is 42 inches exactly. Well, we found out that she is tall enough but NOT AT ALL ready to ride them. I took her on the BIG swings with me and the Pirate Boat (the one that sways back and forth). She got off and said Mom I don't want to do those again. So we stuck to the smaller rides the rest of the day. But she didn't cry so maybe she will be ready next year. Emmah loved the Air plane ride it was the favorite for both girls, so we did that one several times that day. Finally at 6:20 we were practically running out of the park because of the evening events that had started with scary things for Halloween. Paiyton was crying to go home when they came out. It wasn't the best ending to the day but we had a great day together.

Beach Day!

Well a week ago Saturday we had a wonderful family day at the Beach. We always go to a beach that is on the Bay for the girls because the waves are calmer. It has been a while since doing this so that made it that much more enjoyable for us all. Paiyton was building something in the sand and I asked her what it was and she said it was "Wishigan" (Michigan). She obviously thinks of "Wishigan" very often. Paiyton also loves the ocean. We have to watch her close because she wants to keep going farther and farther out. When we arrived there was one of the Air Craft Carriers coming through the Bay back into port. It was nice to see that as well. They are such a huge ship and it is a great reminder of all the people that serve our country and what a great country we have been blessed to live in and the freedoms we have. I have posted some pictures from the day. We will post again soon!

Suprise Visit!

This past Saturday we received a phone call from my Aunt Bert (my Mom's Sister) and Uncle Don saying they were here in town from Michigan. We were all SOOOO excited that they were here, especially Paiyton. She loves ALL our family up in Michigan but this last trip back home in July she formed a special Bond with Great Aunt Bert, of coarse the goodies that she brings for the girls also helps. They arrived at 5pm that night and stayed till midnight and of coarse we had to let Paiyton stay up and spend all the time she could with them. She was in her glory as she played with Aunt Bert for hours. Uncle Don read books to her before leaving. Paiyton asks me EVERY day if we can go back to "Wishigan" (as she calls Michigan). This visit was a special Blessing from God for Tim and I too, this time of year we are a bit home sick (and most of the rest of the year as well). It's funny how God gives us these blessings just when we need them the most!

It Is Now Done!

Well, I am now Bloging and catching up with all of our Small Group from church (you all know who you are). We will see how often I can keep up with it and the postings especially since I am working part time now at Pottery Barn, but I will do my best. I am hoping that this helps keep all our friends and family better updated back in Michigan. I know that some of you back home may be thinking What is She Doing? but just keep checking our family site and watch our girls grow. They are changing so much and so fast. Well, I have gotten The Carlton Family Site up, I think this is all I can handle for now. There will be more to come!
