Shout from the Mountain tops.....

Do y'all have those days when you want to shout it out from the mountain tops that you need to get away for a few by yourself? Well, this afternoon was one of those days. Due to the recouping after illness from the last week we all took a short nap today. It was just what we all needed. After getting our much needed 45 minutes we were all ready to go to Awana tonight. I must admit I was at a point today where enough was enough. The living apart from Tim takes it toll on each of us and today was that day, I think because none of us have been sleeping well these days. But in the midst of it all God spoke gently to me reminding me that it is only a season (& the 10 below zero too....brrrrr) thank goodness. It was a gentle reminder of how blessed I am to have such a wonderful husband and two wonderful little girls that I love & ADORE beyond words. I am thankful every day for these things but it seems that sometimes he reminds me a little more to help me stay focused. He also used the girls to give me little smiles & laughs tonight while listening to them.

After entering the truck after awana: Paiyton: All the Daddy's are in Berginia (Virginia) working. Emmah: They are?

Putting Emmah to bed tonight: Emmah: Mommy I want to take my purse to gerginia (Virginia) and my stroller (for the dolly's).

I love the age group of 1-5 yrs old. It is fun, exciting and the biggest blessing all the time. I have told Paiyton that she can not get any older than 5, her birthdays have stopped. She thinks it's funny and always says Mommy your silly. One of the fun things with Paiyton right now is when I am putting her to bed each night she says to me Mommy, What am I going to dream about tonight? I always say I don't know what do you think? She proceeds to pick and choose, the beach, Daddy, Busch Gardens, School, the light houses, rainbows. I pray that she never stops dreaming and that she knows from a very young age that God is the full filler of dreams. I want to always remember these times and ages and what a blessing they are despite whatever season of life we are in. Thank you Lord for the reminder today and for renewing me in this season.

Say a Prayer...

This is a quick post tonight just to ask y'all to pray for the girls. Over the weekend they were sick with colds and than this morning my poor Emmah was sick with a stomach bug to the point of dry heaves. They are both fast asleep now but man could we use some good health this week. On a side note please say a prayer for my Sailor in the morning (Thursday 15th). He is taking the Chiefs exam for going LDO (in layman's terms going officer). I love my husband and how dedicated he is and what a wonderful provider he is for our family. I love you Babe!

Here's my Daddy......

This was one of the BEST moments of Paiyton's first school year. During Tim's October visit home Mrs. Neumeyer asked him to come in the class in Uniform to talk to the kids about what he does. Tim was excited and there are no words for Paiyton's excitement that day. As we were walking in that morning he said to me, "I am not sure what to talk to them about, I know what to say to teenagers about what I do" (from recruiting days). I reminded him to remember how he talks to Paiyton being the age she is and that all the other kids will understand and relate to him. I also said "Babe, they don't have that long of an attention span it will only last about 10 minutes or so. Well, was I ever wrong. All the kids ADORED him. They were all over him, Mrs. Neumeyer had to keep them from climbing all over him and as for the time.....they listened to Tim for over a half hour. They were in complete awe the entire time he was in the room. They had lots of great questions as Tim told them what he does. Paiyton was so happy and excited to have her Daddy talking to her classmates about his job. She never left his side and always had one of her hands near or on him. Once he was done talking and answering their questions one of Paiyton's classmates Jackson looked up at Tim and said "When I grow up I want to be in the Navy just like you". I thought Tim and I were going to just melt in the floor. Paiyton talked about this day for weeks and still does and wants her Daddy to come back to her class again. This was such a blessing for each one of us, but especially Paiyton and Tim.

Looking back....Fall Splendor

Well, as usual I am behind on my blogging world but will try once again to get caught up to date. Our fall 2008 went by so very fast, as did the entire 2008 year for us. With the start of school for Paiyton and all the other weekly events (Awana, Dance, etc.) I don't know where all the time has gone. These pictures are a recap of our fall 2008!

This was some out door time of soccer with the girls, Paiyton had kicked the ball really far and this was her pose as she told me she was really strong....it was to funny.

This was our yearly "Painting of the Pumpkins" and the girls have asked to paint a pumpkin every month since October. Tim was also home for 8 days that month at Halloween time.

This was also on Tim's October visit, it was also his Birthday. So the girls wanted to surprise Daddy with a Princess Birthday Cake....He loved it of coarse.....he is such a WONDERFUL girl Daddy. It had all the Princess sprinkles and lots of candles! They also stuck a couple of their princess figurines on top!

One of our Halloween crafts was these Mummy Pumpkins...the girls loved them!

So, we had a great October this was it in a nut shell. I hope this year we can slow down a little and savor it all a little more.
