Yeah...

Yeah....I am starting to get caught up a bit with my blogging. I know 3 post's at once is a lot. But her they are, more to come this weekend.

Green Eggs and Ham

This is our favorite book right now among many other Dr. Seuss. We are just loving his books, we ready them over and over each day. I asked Paiyton is she wanted green eggs one Saturday morning and so here she is enjoying her green eggs (no ham this time). Fun stuff!

Paiyton first field trip!

This was Paiyton's first field trip, yeah. It was on October 16Th. It was so much fun for her and for Mommy. I was one of the drivers for her class so we loaded up and off we went.

We headed to Mitchell Farm about 30 minutes north. They have hay rides, pumpkin patches for picking your own pumpkin, four different enclosed play areas and animals to feed and see. This was a field trip with the Kindergarten and the 6Th grade class. To give some back ground the 6Th graders are the chapel buddies for the kindergartners. It is a buddy system to help the small ones to pay attention as well we an accountability for the 6Th graders to be good examples for the little ones, it is awesome to see and watch them with each other. Paiyton's chapel buddies are Victoria and Jensen and let me just say what two wonderful little ladies that have been paired up with Paiyton. They are so caring and loving with Paiyton and have such genuine concern for her. Coincidentally Victoria's family goes to our church so Victoria and her Mom are Emmah's teachers in Puggles at Awana each week as well.

This was so much fun for Paiyton. It started with a hay ride to the pumpkin patch to pick their own pumpkins. Victoria and Jensen just surrounded Paiyton and helped her pick her pumpkin, then they let Paiyton pick their pumpkins for them as well. I thought that was so thoughtful. After the hay ride it was off the the Popcorn Popping, the old fashioned way and to learn about how the farm is run.

After that is was seeing the animals and some feeding and play...play...play. The baby pig was the talk of the day though. When Farmer Mitchell picker her up she screamed! And I mean screamed, hence Paiyton covering her ears in this picture. They also have these partially enclosed areas that are filled with hay to play on and slides and tunnels. Paiyton was in her glory and I am so blessed to be able to stay home with the girls and attend all these wonderful firsts with my little lady. What a Blessing!

Leaves...Leaves....Leaves..

My sweet Emmah Grace...you light up the room when you walk in each and every time. I love you my little monkey!

These two are the best of friends...I love that they have a close relationship and that they want to have the other one with them all the time.

These are some pictures of fall fun in the leaves, the one up top and on the side are from this fall as well. The girls would run and jump in leaves no matter where we were at and what they were wearing....church closes. This fall the girls and I had a ball playing in the leaves and loving the vibrant fall colors that only Michigan has. Paiyton talked every day about the colors of the leaves and when would they all fall off the trees. She is growing so much this year and is so interested in learning about anything and everything. We had many conversations about the outdoors this fall. Awana had a little to do with that because Emmah has been learning in her "Puggles" class that God made everything and each week they teach specifically about something. One week was the Moon and the Stars. One night after Awana driving home Paiyton was watching the FULL moon. We had made a couple turns driving and all of a sudden she says to me:

Paiyton: Mommy the moon is following us. (It took all within me to not laugh)

Me: No honey it is not following us it stays in the same spot all the time, we are the ones moving and when we move then the moon may end up on one side or the other of the truck. (she wasn't understanding)

Paiyton: No, Mommy it is following us.....SEE...(as I turned again)

Me: I explained again the as we turn and change directions the moon stays in the same spot. We are the ones moving.

Paiyton: Mom the moon is moving I saw it and it is following us. I know it is!

Oh, my Chickie I love you so very much and these conversations with you just melt my heart. I love your curiosity and zest to learn and I pray that you always have it. You bless Mommy beyond words.

This was some of our October 2008 fun times with Dance class and visits to the Dairy Farm. We have a dairy farm here that is a favorite for all locals. They make their own ice cream that is very good. When it isn't too cold they have their calf's out to see and pet, the girls loved this! We stopped several times on Monday evenings on our way back from Dance class to see the calf's and run around outside.

The famous Jack-O-Lantern.....

Do ya'll remember doing these Jack-o-Lanterns when you were a kid in school? I always loved to do these and was always so proud of them. Paiyton did her first one in October. The fun part was that I was able to help her. I didn't do any of it except staple it, she did the designing and gluing. Mrs. Neumeyer loved it! She also stated that no one else gave theirs teeth and hair. Mrs. Neumeyer chose to keep Paiyton's at school for the Art Fair, how fun and exciting for her!

Potty Time!

Well, after many many many attempts to get Emmah to start potty training she has finally given in to try.....yeah! I am so thrilled at the thought of not having to buy diapers or change dirty ones for that matter, especially at the current high prices. (Is any one having trouble with your paragraphs running together on blogger? just wondering)

It took some convincing though, Emmah's favorite thing right now is "Sleeping Beauty", anything that is Sleeping Beauty she is there and all about that. She walks around singing "I know you I walked with you once upon a dream, I know you the gleam in your eye is so familiar to me". If any of you have seen the movie than you will recognize the words and know the tune. She just LOVES "Sleeping Deauty" as she calls her. So, I used that to my advantage and told her that Sleeping Beauty goes potty on the princess potty, (we have a little toddler princess potty for the starting out). She won't have anything to do with the big potty at all yet. So, Emmah wants to go potty just like "Deauty" does on the princess potty.

She has been wearing panties off and on this whole week and not had any accidents. Although I think she is holding it and than going all at once, I ask her every 30 minutes if she needs to go though. I will take any suggestions for the night time. That was my challenging time with Paiyton as well. But I am elated that she is now willing and trying....whoohoo!

Gotta Love Fall Football

Up here in Michigan it is a on going tradition to jump into the high school sports games among many other out door events up here. I must say I love going to a football game in the crisp autumn air here.

Max is my Best Friend's youngest son (14). He entered high school this year after being home schooled since second grade. He is doing awesome! We are so very proud of him and his Godly example to his peers as well.

Paiyton and Emmah ADORE Max and want to make sure they see Aunt Dawn and Max on Sundays at church. These pictures are of the game we went to October 11Th. (I know a late blog, I am catching up again.)

Getting her Driver's License...

Paiyton had a ball back a few weeks ago driving Papa's tractor. He placed it in slow gear and let her go across the yard. He came to get me inside the house to show me that she was driving it. When she came to a stop, I told her she was to young to drive and didn't have a driver's license...she proceeded to tell me that she didn't need one that she knew how to drive without it. It was too cute. This picture looks like she is sitting still but she is actually moving. She pulled the tractor right up to the trailer where Papa wanted it placed. Later that evening Papa created her a "Tractor Drivers License" on the computer and presented it to her with his signature. She was so excited to show me that she had one now!

Happy Voting Day ......Free..... Free.... Free.....

Good Morning all, well I am happy to say that I do not have to wait in the voting lines today, Tim and I voted by ballot last week at our local precinct. But there are a few freebies today: Star bucks will give you a free cup of coffee and all you have to do is ask for it. Ben & Jerry's ice cream will give a free scoop of ice cream today as well. They are celebrating election day. So enjoy the free stuff. (Katy, I am sure you probably already knew this stuff since your the freebie queen.) Have a great Day and VOTE VOTE VOTE!
