Getting ready.....

This was Paiyton with her first experience with the sponge curlers in her hair. We put them in to have curls for her dance pictures. (previous post) She loves it for some reason though. When I was little I didn't like them, I thought they hurt when trying to sleep on them. Since doing the pictures she has asked me to put them in several more times. Girls are so much fun, not that they don't have their moments. But it is fun to do this stuff with/for them. Paiyton is definitely my girlie girl! I have also posted a picture of my Mom when she was four. I can not beleive how much Paiyton looks like my Mom. We have said it all along but Wow! My Mom would be so happy that Paiyton looks like her though.

Any Suggestions???

OK, so this is a quick post because it is 11:15pm and I have had to many late nights these days. This Saturday the 19Th is our Wedding Anniversary and we are not sure where to go for a nice dinner alone. Has any one been to the "Catch 31"? It is the restaurant at the Ocean Front at the Hilton. Any other suggestions are welcome, we would like to go somewhere we have not been yet and I would like to have the option for seafood. (Tim's extent of seafood is shrimp, he does not know what he is missing.) Just thought I would get some in put, I am asking for a lot of that lately in my blog. Thanks for the input on Paiyton's Dance Pictures!

Check Out the Pictures.....

Ok, all Check out the Pictures of Paiyton at www.caughtphoto.com and tell me what you think and what ones ya'll like. When you get to the web site there is 2008 Albums and one is named "Tiffany" click on that and than you need to enter the pass word which is tiffany all lower case, than you can view all the pics, there are 16 of them. I took her this morning for these pics in her dance costume for this year. I recently heard about this lady that does them in her studio in her home. I figure I better keep getting them done now because soon she probably won't want to do it any more.

Wonderful Visit....

Well, it was two weeks ago that one of my Best Friends and her five kids came to visit. Lisa and I met back in 1998 at Church up in Michigan, before we had kids. She is like a sister to me. She moved back to Roanoke Va. last year, which is where she is from. So her and the kids made the trip and we had a blast. The first afternoon she was here I took them to the beach and the kids had a ball out there. Thankfully it was one of our warm days. Than that evening we went over to Tim's Command and he gave the kids a GRAND TOUR of one of the Crafts. They went all over the craft, they pretended to drive it, went in the racks (beds), every where they could. The kids LOVED it! The next morning we were up and off to the Aquarium. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing each other. We used to see each other every week so seeing her and spending some time is always so great, but of coarse we talk on the phone at least every other day. Lisa has been through thick and thin with me. When she was 8 months pregnant she was over at my house very late at night when I found out that Tim had been injured waiting for a phone call from the Navy, (along with Deb, my other wonderful friend). Than at 9 months pregnant she and Deb were at my house cooking meal after meal for us and my family members when my Mom had so unexpectedly passed away a month later. She delivered baby Rachel (her fourth child) the day we buried my Mom. She felt bad that she couldn't be at the funeral but baby Rachel was such a blessing and reminder that God is the giver of life. It made my day to be able to go see her and her New Baby girl and it brought joy to see New life on such a hard day. So, Lisa I love you dearly and I am so thankful for you my dear friend.

Something that works...

Ok, so yesterday morning I was saying that Emmah is miserable while her upper molars are coming in and that I am not getting much rest. Well, I remembered some advise that I had gotten back when we were cutting eye teeth. (The Eye teeth had cut through so I was not sure if it had done any thing with them at that time.) If you dip your finger in some childrens Benedryl and rub it on the swollen gum area that the Antihistamine in it soothes the gums some how. (Just dip and rub some on the gums don't give a dose) So last night and this morning at 6am I was rubbing a little on her gums (and it was very little, she doesn't want you touching them, I don't blame her)and do you know she slept better and also slept in till 10AM....so we will live by this teething helper in the future, along with Motrin of coarse. My poor baby has been so miserable, I am so glad this helps her.

Just a short entry fro now....

So this is just a short little entry and not the usual kind of post that I do I might add. Does any one else dislike going to the gym as much as I do? It's not that I hate it, it is just not my favorite thing to do. There are of coarse so many other things that need to be done. But having lost twenty pounds since the beginning of February I will say it is always worth going. The other thing is those wonderful two year old molars! I have been up with Emmah every night now for the past two weeks, several times a night. They need to come in already. So there are my thoughts this morning!

The Making of the Chevy Truck !

Ok, this particular evening Paiyton all of sudden asks Tim to make her a car. She has been very interested in driving these days (isn't it to early for that?). So Tim goes and gets a box, ribbon, bolt, marker and a box cutter and goes to work. After about 30 minutes here comes paiyton wearing her car and driving through the house. It was too funny, and of coarse Emmah got a car too (somehow I didn't get that picture though). Paiyton had also drawn on her car with Tim's help. What was realy funny though was that they had tried to draw the Chevy symbol on the front as you can see in the picture, to make Poppy proud that she was driving a Chevy(Dad worked for GM for 38 years). Long story short, my Dad had bought her a shirt a couple years ago that said "When I grow up I want to drive a Chevy Truck" well until about a a year ago she called it her "Heavy Fruck Shirt".

Date Night With Daddy!

Well, I am about two weeks behind on blogging so be patient as I catch up. Two weeks ago Tim and Paiyton went on a date. Tim thought that it would be fun to take her to see "Horton Hear's A Who" so off they went. Emmah and I were taking dinner to a friend who had just had a baby. When Paiyton returned home she was so excited to tell me about the movie and her experience. I was making a comment about the "movies" and she kept saying to me...no mom, no mom, "It's the Theater, Not the Movies". It was so funny....than all of sudden she says to me Mommy my belly hurts, I think I ate to much Popcorn and Candy. She has talked about this night with Daddy almost everyday since.
